Once the realization of what had just transpired had settled in, we were all very shaken. Outboard cameras had captured everything, and we reviewed the footage that Hyosuke keyed up on the main viewing screen.
Where we had settled was obviously some sort of solitary docking bay. We were the only ship in the rather spacious hold, but figures like the ones we had spoken to had flown around us the entire time, examining our ship and writing things down on what looked like holographic clip boards with long, charcoal colored fingers.
The footage and conversations were sent back to Earth, along with a basic report from Hyosuke about the translators. While we were waiting for a reply I drifted the ship around the system, designated Alpha 1, and looked for the next planet in orbit.
Its a little bit bigger than Earth, and the thick yellow-green atmosphere blocks our view of the surface. White cloud masses swirl within the atmosphere, and a giant whitish swirl seems to go around it, much like the big red storm on Jupiter. Elizabeth said that we might be able to go down onto the surface. Bio suits would protect us from the poisonous air, but otherwise we should be fine, if a bit sluggish due to the extra pound or two of gravity.
Janet also plotted the system with Hyosuke. There are only five planets, and Little Blue is the fourth from the sun. This one, Andrei called it Venara because it sort of looks like Venus, is the third. We're going to release the rover pod after everybody sleeps and if the data is good, we'll head down to the surface ourselves. Here's to hoping I can set foot on another planet, this is Jack Babylon, signing off.
